"Balangay: Navigating Artistic Horizons”, A Travelling exhibition from Mindanao, Luzon and to Visayas from September to November 2023

Galerie Francesca’s "Balangay: Navigating Artistic Horizons” celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines while highlighting the diverse talents of Galerie Francesca's artists, seeking to create a sense of community among artists, promote artistic exchange, and establish Galerie Francesca as a platform for artists from all regions to showcase their creative brilliance.

Balangay then sails to the Luzon Art Fair, where our community will exhibit the diverse artistic landscape of the region at the heart of culture and arts in Central Luzon, Diwa ng Tarlac—a place that perfectly represents the region’s flourishing art scene outside Metro Manila. Coinciding with this year’s national celebration of Museum and Galleries Month, the highlight of this leg of the touring exhibition will be a visual narrative curated by the region’s vast area weaving a legacy of the growing art and community in Luzon.

Participating artists include Presidential Merit awardee Juvenal Sansó, Roel Obemio, Migs Villanueva, Jef Cablog, Anna de Leon, Francis Nacion, Kublai Millan, Janos Delacruz, Herbert Pajarito, Melissa Yeung Yap, Jonathan Dangue, Kristine Lim, Helena Alegre, Rudy Yu, Seth Corda, Kankan Ramos, Dante Enage, and Domeng Sinulid.
